  4.     NOTE:  The Address Librarian manual "ADDS.MAN" is not a text file. It
  5.     is a binary file and cannot be read with a text editor or viewer like
  6.     this file can.  The manual can only be properly viewed from within the
  7.     Address Librarian program.  To read the manual press the F1 key twice
  8.     after starting Address Libarian. Once the manual is activated press
  9.     F8 to see the table of contents and F9 to see the index. Press F1 for
  10.     additional features about the on-line manual. The file ADDS.MAN cannot
  11.     be seen until after the program is installed.

  13. Address Librarian is a dos program but is compatible with Win 3.1 and Win
  14. 95.  The program comes with two installation routines. One to install the
  15. program strictly as a dos application. The other routine will install the
  16. program to be run from a program group from Win 3.1 or Windows 95.

  19. DOS INSTALLATION AND START-UP
  20.  
  21. 1. Insert the Address Librarian disk in the A or B drive as applicable.
  22.  
  23. 2. Type A:\INSTALL or B:\INSTALL as applicable.
  24.  
  25. 3. Follow the on screen instructions.

  27. NOTE: If you downloaded the program from a BBS, after unzipping the
  28. program, change to the directory where you unzipped the program and type
  29. INSTALL and follow the on screen instructions.

  31. To start the program after installation change to the directory where you
  32. installed the program (normally C:\ADDRLIB) and type AL and press the
  33. enter key.  To get to the correct directory type the following:

  35.                           CD\
  36.                           CD\ADDRLIB
  37.                           ADDR
  38.  
  39. Press the ENTER key after each line above.

  42. WINDOWS 3.1 INSTALLATION and START-UP
  43.  
  44. 1. Start Windows and the Program Manager
  45.  
  46. 2. Choose File|RUN
  47.  
  48. 3.Type A:\SETUP.EXE or B:\SETUP.EXE as applicable.

  50. 4. Answer Yes to the question "Install programs in Program Manager?"
  51.  
  52. NOTE: If you downloaded the program from a BBS, after unzipping the
  53. program choose FILE|RUN and type the drive and path where the file is
  54. located followed by SETUP.EXE. For example: C:\TEMP\SETUP.EXE and follow
  55. the instructions.

  57. To start the program, click the TurboSystemsCo DOS Apps group, then double
  58. click the Address Librarian icon.  To switch between full screen mode and a
  59. dos window mode press the ALT + ENTER key.

  61. WINDOWS 95 INSTALLATION and START-UP

  63. 1. From Windows 95 Click the Start button, point to Settings, then click
  64. the Control Panel.

  66. 2. On the Control Panel, double click Add/Remove programs.
  67.  
  68. 3. Follow the on screen instructions.
  69.  
  70. 4. Answer Yes to the question: "Install programs in Program Manager?"

  72. NOTE: If you downloaded the program from a BBS, after unzipping the
  73. program start the Windows Explorer, navigate to the directory where
  74. you unzipped the file and double click on SETUP.EXE. Follow the on
  75. screen instructions and the program will be installed.

  77. To start the program, click the start button, then Programs, then
  78. TurboSystemsCo DOS Apps then double click the Address Librarian icon.
  79. Press the ALT + ENTER key to switch between full screen and dos window
  80. mode for the program.
